
Walking - There are lovely local riverside walks around Landulph. Also SW Coastal path, and Tamar Valley Discovery Trail. Bodmin Moor and Dartmoor are both easily accessible. Drake's Trail, launched in March 2009, is a walking and cycling network between Tavistock and Plymouth, suitable for all ages and fitness levels.
Birdwatching - wonderful views from the cottage and walks around the estuary. Also regular winter Tamar Bird Watching Cruises - led by leading ornithologist from www.tamarwildlife.com
Wildlife - Numerous opportunities to spot wildlife. Otter Sanctuary - Launceston.
Fishing - There is plenty of choice. You can fish from our own private jetty at high tide.
The Lynher, between Bodmin Moor and Saltash, is excellent for Salmon (1st March to 14th October) and Sea Trout (3rd March to 30th September). Local permits required.
There is Coarse fishing at Bake Lakes, Bush Farm, and Milemead Fisheries.
Nearest Fly fishing at Siblyback Water Park (1st April to 31st October) and Colliford Lake (15th March to 12th October)
Then there are deep sea fishing trips from the Barbican in Plymouth.
Gardens - Cotehele, Ince, Pentillie, Garden House, Antony, Mount Edgecumbe, Port Eliot and many nurseries and NGS gardens.
